Bank of England Museum

Clay designed and produced two permanent exhibits for the Bank of England's redesigned museum.

Working with the Bank's education team, we created an interactive game that used the Bank's metaphor of keeping a boat sailing at a steady speed to represent how the UK's inflation rate is set.

The game involved a bespoke novel interface that asked visitors to turn a winch to raise or lower the boat's sails, as it navigates through stormy economic periods.

This touchscreen exhibit was an interactive timeline that plotted the history of significant economic events.

Visitors could swipe to explore through a rich collection of fascinating facts, which is simultaneously projected at large scale on the wall of the museum.
