Working with the British Library and their team, Clay designed and produced a key animation for the "Unearthed: The Power of Gardening" exhibition.

The animation centres around a 19th-century globe, revealing the native landscapes of four key plants (apple, sunflower, castor oil plant, and tomato), the people who cultivated them, and their journeys to Britain. It invites viewers to reflect on Britain's past through the lens of horticultural history.

We hand-animated and illustrated the unique origins of each plant, highlighting pivotal moments in their histories, their travels across land and sea, and their enduring relevance today.
