The samurai is an iconic figure, evoking images of formidable fighters possessing ideals of courage, honour and self-sacrifice.

Clay created two key immersive experiences for this landmark exhibition at the British Museum.

Samurai Battle is a 13m wide animation, where visitors are placed at the centre of a dramatic samurai battle, brought to life through a large-scale projection seamlessly extending the physical exhibition space. The sequence leverages real-world scale and camera positioning and spatial sound track to create a dramatic sense of presence and immersion.

The 21st Century Samurai finale show depicts the samurai in popular culture. Created for the landmark Samurai exhibition at the British Museum, key film, TV, anime, and game footage was edited together to create a dynamic and unexpected audio-visual 'explosion'.
