World Clocks

Clay designed and produced a real-time ambient clock installation for the headquarters of Horus Capital in Moscow, Russia.

The idea is a simple play on the ubiquitous world clocks seen in hotels and business receptions the world over.

To the casual observer these are four normal clocks. Occasionally however, the cities would intermittently change sending the clock winding forward or backward to a new time zone. An ambient effect may be presented, and animated content would appear, tied to the current time of day or weather conditions. At 4pm for example, four gold fish may swim inside the clock face; at 12pm the second hand may smear the numbers; if there is a thunderstorm in New York then this might be represented on the appropriate clock face for that city
